Goal setting is typically an external process, where you are targeting something outside of yourself that you want to achieve or change. All of your focus and attention is on achieving your external goal. One example could be, “You want to lose 10 pounds in 10 days.” Your focus is on the scale and what you are eating and your exercise routine; all things outside of you because what you want to achieve is outside of you – right?
